“This was one of the best, if not the best, massages I have ever had. Amberly was such a healer today and I left feeling so much lighter and like I could move my body again. She was so communicative through the whole process from beginning to end, so I knew what to expect during transitions, and she also checked in with me to make sure the pressure was comfortable and not too much or too little which I really appreciated. ABOUT ME
A Personal, Grounded Approach to Healing
La Luna is Amberly Calloway — a licensed massage and bodywork therapist since 2008 with a passion for movement, healing, and beauty. Raised in Highlands, NC, and half Canadian by heritage, I have always had one foot rooted in the Blue Ridge and the other reaching outward.
My massage journey began with a desire to explore the world through service. After earning my license in North Carolina, I spent more than a decade offering massage aboard private yachts, in luxury villas, and at island resorts — blending bodywork with roles as stewardess, English tutor, deckhand, and first mate.
A lifelong learner, I studied abroad in the south of France during high school and completed a semester of art school in Florence, Italy, before graduating from UNC-Chapel Hill. My professional path led me through learning environments including Maui, New Zealand, and the South Pacific . I landed on the island of St. John at Caneel Bay Resort where I honed my intuitive and therapeutic approach and would return to the Plateau and Asheville for the summer months.
Today, La Luna is permanently based on the Highlands/Cashiers Plateau & Asheville. Sessions are fully customized and offered in the comfort of your home or personal outdoor retreat — surrounded by the natural beauty of the Highlands-Cashiers Plateau. I Love the opportunity to work outside!
